As Ebin and Vijay prepare to facilitate his workshop on “Timeline Technique for Agile Transformation” at Agile Coffee Talk on 10th October, we asked Ebin what is this workshop all about. And here’s what he has to say:
In my point of view, lot of Agile transformations struggles, because of lack of “Purpose”. I have seen organizational transformation with not much clarity on purpose; everyone wants to “Do Agile”, but they don’t know what they will gain by doing that or how the achievement is going to look like at the end of it !
One of the areas of improvement for most of the organizations who attempt for Agile transformation is Vision. If the organization has strong and clear vision which everyone internalized, the chances of achieving that is very high.
The intent of this workshop is to give a new technique to leaders, change agents and people involved in any transformation, to define or uncover the “Purpose” of their transformation. The technique is called “Timeline” and it originated from Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This technique allows you to Pre-create your vision (future), get clarity on the future, use human sub-modalities to make the vision stronger, thus create a common “Purpose”.
This workshop is about learning the timeline concept and also understanding how it can be used in Enterprise Agile transformations.
1. Timeline technique helps the stakeholders to define realistic goals about their transformation.
2. This will also enable them to pre-write the future of the transformation.
Interestingly, this technique of visualization can help both teams and individuals equally, and can help in making better decisions and sustainable change. Do join the workshop at Agile Coffee Talk, Bangalore, on the 10th of October 2015, at The Park, MG Road. RSVP here
